  1. I’ve camped in rain in a big tent – can’t even imagine all the miseries as you mentioned. Just stay HEALTHY above all !! & keep those wonderful photos coming ❀

    1. I’m trying hard to stay healthy, and I definitely feel better at this point than I did two years ago. Hope you and hubby are well and praying you guys dodge hurricanes and tropical storms this season.

  2. I have always liked geology; but, it’s been awhile since I’ve read up on that stuff. We need that rain you’re getting here in Texas! Slackpacking sounds like it’s the way to do things! πŸ™‚ I’ve camped in the rain before. But, we didn’t have to set it up or tear it down in the rain. The bottom of our tent was wet and we had to set it up at home to dry and air it out. I’m glad you met someone that seemed to be a character. I don’t think I need to say “take care of yourself” because it sounds like you are! πŸ™‚ I hope you enjoyed this one long run-on (multiple topics) paragraph. 😯 LOL. πŸ™‚

    1. I always LOVE your comments, Lee Ann! I do so wish I could send you some of this rain! Especially with lightweight tents, the tent floor gets saturated quickly. I’m using tyvek instead of the fabric footprint this year and it seems to be working better. Still, once you pack it up wet, everything that wasn’t wet becomes saturated with the rest of it. πŸ˜–

  3. So glad you had a good slackpack day! I know it’s a misery to camp and hike wet! I’ll pray that the choices become clear.
